MY APPROACH

Storytelling is important to me, I like to document your day rather than direct it. That said, 19 years of experience has taught me that sometimes a little direction is needed to capture that perfect moment- if I think the picture will look better without the clutter in the background I will move it, and if Aunty Sandra hates having her picture taken then I will pull out all of the stops to make her smile and feel relaxed so that you dont get a stiff and unnatural group shot. Rather than blending into the background so that nobody knows the photographer is there, I prefer to be part of the party- almost like one of your good friend’s is taking your pictures, that way your guests get used to having the camera around and forget its even there, and you get the most natural pictures of everybody being themselves.
