When should I book my newborn shoot?
To guarantee your newborn shoot with me it is important to book whilst you are still pregnant. The ideal time to photograph your newborn baby is between days 6-10 in order to get the very best out of your session so we dont have a huge window of time to work with. The newborn pictures you see in my portfolio were all photographed around one week of age.
How long does a newborn session last?
I always take my time with newborns and am totally baby-led so your baby is my guide. I will never rush a session and will take as much time as we need for your baby to feed and settle in betweeen shots. My aim is for you to feel relaxed and to enjoy every moment of your shoot without feeeling rushed or overwhelmed. An average newborn shoot tends to last around 3 hours from start to finish.
Where will my newborn session take place?
Most newborn sessions will take place at my studio in Heskin Green, Lancashire. It is easy to find, close to jct 27 of the M6. My studio is adjacent to my home and has beautiful natural light as well as soft studio lighting should we need it. I can also work on location at your home depending on the light quality and availability you have there.. if this is something you would like then please get in touch to discuss. What is your style?
My style is best described as “all about the baby” I prefer not to over-accessorise and like to keep my pictures minimalistic, modern and fresh. I am happy to talk through any styling considerations you have prior to you shoot- i will always lean towards an outfit that is simple, classic and minimal and something that does not detract from the main focus of my pictures.
When should I book my family shoot?
Family shoots can be booked at any time, although to guarantee a shoot with me it is always best to book as far in advance as possible, especially if you would like a weekend shoot as I only take on a very exclusive number of weekend shoots per year so they get booked up really fast.
Do you photograph Weddings?
